Default Just sayin' hi

I've been lurking here for awhile and finally decided to join. I have alot of downtime right now as I'm at home recovering from a work injury so I'll probably be on here lots. I've had my PT just over a year now and I love it. I was getting into some mods for it until I bought an ATV last summer, that took over most of my finances! I've almost got the quad where I want it now, just need new tires, springs, and a turbo! (I want to be able to beat muscle cars on an 1/8th mile with a 4x4 single cylinder quad!) Then it's back to modding the PT.

I originally had a 1983 Dodge Aries 2 door. I'm wanting to restore that when I get the chance, I think I can set it up to pull over 40mpg with a new Weber carb and a 5spd out of my folks old Caravan. It only weighs 2300 lbs and I can get 110hp or so out of the 2.2, should move nicely.

I then moved up to a 1993 Dodge Dynasty which is now rusting to death. I bought a 1991 Dodge Dynasty as a parts car and will combine the two for a decent winter beater. The PT is a huge upgrade and extremely practical! I really love it.

I checked out some of the other forums too, this one seems to have a really friendly and helpful atmosphere! I like!

I've already answered some of your questions, I guess it's time to say to the forum.

Oh boy, are YOU in trouble! An already-experienced car-modder, comin' here and asking for suggestions...... hehehe! Better hide the credit card!

Welcome!

I'm not that terribly experienced with modding cars. But I'm trying! Hopefully a few years from now it will be an eye catcher! I don't have to worry about a credit card getting me in trouble. Shopping with a maxed out card helps cut down on purchases! "The advantage to being completely screwed is you know things can't possibly get worse!" Gotta love that quote!

The "clever" part of the name is a bit of a stretch. The "klutz" part is just a sad part of my life!

Cool Re: Just sayin' hi

Be careful!
There is a saying...also...... I said things couldn't get any worst, and sure enough, they got worst!
You haven't caught the mod bug yet!

notadodge, that's cool. I go riding mostly in the Woodridge and Piney areas. That's actually fairly close to Roseau. I'm on nyrocatv.com and at highlifter.com. I've been wanting to go riding in the States but can't find anyone within 600 miles. I'd love to go riding as both those places aren't far away. I'd be interested to go riding with your group if I could. I normally ride with a Suzuki Vinson, a Cat 500, and sometimes a Kawasaki Prairie 650 and Yamaha Raptor 660.

soonercruiser, trust me I've been bitten by the bug. Just my credit card doesn't allow for much more playing. I'm hoping to do a turbo swap this summer as my tranny is on the way out. With a GT drivetrain things can only go "downhill" from there!

Hey That wolud be great I am realy looking forward to going this year, We had a baby last year and the year before that we went through firefighter 1&2 and did our emt classes so I have a 3 year old wheeler with no miles on it.. I ride a 500 sportsman and the wife has a 400 our friends have a variety of brands but we all poke a little fun at each other... I have looked at the atvnation site and so far nothing in the spring so far but there is always hope I will see if their is any one interested in a ride maybe late april early may.. its better if its warm enough to camp there at bemis hills .
