Default what other retro cars?

So I think I've realised I love retro!

I nearly bought a Dodge Charger because of it's chunky (somewhat retro) muscle car looks, but the v6 was puny in such a heavy car and the V8 was too much cash.
So on to the PT, which I loved the styling for years and nearly bought one in the UK, now I own one I love it even more.

The HHR is cool, it's perhaps a little roomier and gets better milage, when my PT goes, it may get replaced with a HHR.

OR - the retro truck I just saw! wow!, no idea what it's called but looks like a pick up from the 50's on steroids!
What is that thing?

Is there any more US cars that are retro that I don't know about and should look at?

I would think that maybe you saw a Chevy SSR pickup. They never caught on, I don't know why, I think they look good. Here's a link to one.

The retro styled car that I like the most would have to be the Dodge Challenger, but I'm sure you've seen pictures of those already. If for some reason you haven't here is a good write up on the Dodge Challenger.

Other than what's been mentioned...
Mustang
VW Beetle
Mini
Thunderbird
Prowler

the Prowler isn't made any more, and I don't think the T-Bird or SSR is, either.

SSR was too overpriced I think cuz dealers around here were overcharging.... they were like almost $50K!!
The PROWLER is a car I still want today....I often call my PT the Mini Prowler cause of the staggered wheels n the grill...
The HHR is just a straight PT cruiser rip off in my opinion...So it will never beat the Real MCcoy!!!

Prowlers are sweet cars. My aunt has one. It's the first year (1997) and she has the towable trunk too. Unfortunately they stuck a six in there so it doesn't sound that great. The 3.5 is a great motor and is very fast in that car, but a car that looks like that should rumble. If that design had been a few years later maybe it would have ended up having the 5.7 Hemi, that would have been sweet!

I'm really a fan of the SSR I think those are some good looking trucks. I also really like the thunderbirds. My husband's grandparents have a thunderbird convertible (original) that is just sooo gorgeous.. Sadly, they are selling it..

Had to throw in some pics of one of my little boys with Papaw's 'toys'

Ben
I think the big negative was the price.

Hopefully we get back to Indiana (that's where we are from originally) and get to cruise around in the thunderbird before they sell the thunderbird.

They are actually what got us interested in PT's because we can't afford a classic car and I think the PTs are the next best thing as far as the whole feel of a classic car plus the environment of the cruises and things like that

Just as a note, the SSR was extremely popular but, due to it being a limited run vehicle, you dont see many. (My father drives one, what a sweet truck! Gets up and goes too!)
