Carey,
How about killing this thread. This thread's activities is not what this board is about.

Almost got a little bit off-hand John, but I'm following (and posting) and except for a couple posts against or for the trucking industry, it's mostly personal opinions. I think ucantcme (Ron) has gotten his answers and was able to express his feelings about the citations. It is a Non-PT Discussions part of the forum so "almost" anything goes.

Great job, Carey.

Now that I think about it...this is a forum. A place for people to speak their own opinions. Not always does everyone's opinions match with anyone else's. Its a forum - a place to discuss. It was just getting off topic from the original posted title which was why I was saying "Back on topic!"

Yes, non-PT related is fine and I was not commenting about that. It was the tone and type of responses I was speaking.

When Dealing with a commercial vehicle gross weight restrictions include weight of vehicle and freight combined so say the truck you were driving has an empty curb weight of 6000 lbs, anything over 4000 lbs of freight would be considered a violation.I work for a trucking company in Pa and that is one of the first things we are instructed to watch for when loading our trailers. You are lucky the cop didnt call the state dot and have you weighed,Plus I dont know exactly what size truck it was But in Pa you dont need a special liscense for a UHaul If it dosent have air brakes
