89 Yugo GL with a carburated 1.1 liter and a 4 speed manual. That was the car I learned to drive stick on.
When you drove it at top speed of 110MPH, the whole car would oscilate like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge about to crumple apart. When there was no street parking, me and some friends could pick it up and put it on the sidewalk ..... and it fit. Put a CD player in it when a cheap CD player was $300. Never even bothered locking the doors, even on the South Side of Chicago. Who would look in a Yugo for something to steal? Timing belt broke at a whopping 35K miles and it wasn't even worth the attempt to fix it. |

My first car was a 1950 Ford 4 door. I bought it for $100 (In 1968). I put a 2 duece manifold on the flathead V8 and thought I had a HOT ROD!
