Why do people sign up with imagestation?
This image works: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...9/fb97fd7c.jpg This one doesn't: http://www.imagestation.com/album/re...?id=4289861975 I am not going to "log in" to see a picture. So what's the advantage? Is it really "free" if your audience has to jump through hoops? Too many other options. For example, check out www.smugmug.com and feel free to comment on these or what you use [8D] |

PHOTO CLUB is another site worth considering: http://www.clubphoto.com/memberservices/login.php
They have a "free basic membership": http://www.clubphoto.com/_cgi-bin/members/sign_up.pl You can post your pictures on the forum so others can view them without having to "sign-in"--just post the picture's "properties" (URL address) from your PHOTO CLUB Album between [img]s...see the forum's FAQs about posting pictures/images. |

Stephen,
There's nothing wrong with Imagestation. I've been using them for almost two years now without a problem. Here's a photo from the URL that you posted that siad it didn't work....it worked for me. ![]() I did find out that you have to set up an album the "right" way if you want others to share your pictures, otherwise they will not be able to gain access. ![]()

CREWZIN, Imagestation works for you because you are already a member and you probably have a cookie on your computer that gets you in without fuss.
I see the two images you posted so aparently the other person needs to modify their settings so anybody can see what it is they're selling. Would you let us know how to do that? |

Why choose Imagestation?
One Reason: Some of us know very little about computers so when something is offered (and other people give you help on how to do it....thanks CREWZIN!), you use it because you know how. It's the easiest to use WHEN you don't know how to use the rest.[:I] |

As I said in my first post, everything depends on the way the poster has set up his Imagestation album. Yes, I'm logged onto Imagestation but I still have to answer certain questions the right way when I make up an album. Of the 5 albums I have made, outsiders can only have access to one of them because of how I set it up, and I don't know how to change that.

Smugmug is a nice site but I'm not going to pay $30/year when there are a lot of free ones out there. I like Imagestation best because it allows downloads and you can view the whole album in thumbnails. Ophoto from Kodak is another good one and I use it because I have a Kodak camera and upload is very easy from the camera program.
