So here's the deal. I'm 21 with a family of four and in the military. As many of you know, the military doesnt pay well. So my question is do any of you know of anything my wife could do to make some money from home. Her getting a job isn't really an option, as her pay would come out to just enough to cover daycare for two kids. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. We're brok, so she she's stressed out. And as the saying goes, if mama aint happy. Thanks guys!

My sister-in-law does hair dressing out of her house. That's something that could be done while minding kids.
I'm personally not a fan of daycares. I had a stay at home Mom, and I would hope if I ever have a family that would be a feasible option. I used to do deliveries for a grocery store and I would bring groceries to three different daycares. I was never impressed with the way the kids were looked after, the conditions of the daycares, or the people who were caregivers, (one place there was a tatooed guy with piercings everywhere as a caregiver, just not the type I'd like to have look after my child.) Kudos for trying to work out that your kids have a Mom in this day of age. Dual income families are the norm because of the high cost of living. However IMO kids can't get better caregivers than Mom and Dad. Ben

I work part time selling vacations via the Internet. I mean who doesn't want to take a vacation right!
Plus being part of a an association related to travel, I get to write most of my vacations of from my taxes. It's a win win situation, get paid for vacations and get paid to give vacations.

I'm a stay at home mom, but I also do graphic design, if she can teach herself she may be able to do small projects like invitations and things like that, but the pay isn't great.
What about doing her own in house daycare? Or babysitting? That seems to be the go to answer with sahm's... I personally am doing 'short term' babysitting because I am too much of a 'free spirit' to be able to say 'yes I'll watch your children for 7 years' lol.. so I only accept jobs that will last two months and less... I'm currently watching a 2 1/2 year old and a seven year old in their house three days a week/three hours a day for 10 dollars an hour.. not bad since I get to bring my boys with me.

Well as Morrises said... Graphic design is always an option. If you can get a few customers hooked to you for website updates etc, you can start making money. The problem is, It takes a little while to learn...
