You can just go pay it there rather then having to actually sit in court...I've been there, and just paid it, end of story. If you really want to fight it, go for it, but if you want easy, just pay it there...good luck.

If the officer is there, can I just chicken out and pay the damn thing? I really do not want to argue against what I did because I know it was wrong. I guess I'm only afraid of making myself look like a fool in front of a bunch of people.

(Btw - Do not start the whole "If you did the crime, Do the time" or "You deserved it, Pay for it" speech. I'm just looking for some FRIENDLY suggestions as to what YOU would do!)

Sweetie, I would just pay it...I wouldn't know what to say in opposition, if the officer issued me a ticket justly.

Well I would fight it and say my part in court....

because when I did this like i mentioned before they lowered my points and the price of the ticket. So no points for me to worry about on my license.

None of these violations are points. Just a good fine.

If I can go in there and say "Let me Pay" I more than likely will.

I've been to a civilian court and army base court for traffic fines.

I was speeding years ago in my Javelin going 38 in a 25 neighborhood. My car idles at 32. They set theirselves on a downhill area. It was early morning on Saturday and no one out on the street or yards. I was coasting 38 by them downhill. I was nice to the cop of course and he was to me. No reason to be any other way. He dropped the speeding ticket to nine over to reduce it to ONE point. I went to court and the judge got tired of listening to all the excuses people were giving. He got to me after the officer told the judge what he observed and how polite I was. Besides being my first ticket ever-I told the judge I was going to work bagging groceries on the military base and didn't realize I was speeding. He said ..no points and court cost with a smile.

The military court involved reckless driving by my friend and I. Two others were driving right there with us doing the wreckless driving. To make a long story short we fought it and won due to the 2 MP's getting mixed up with the color of the cars and stop signs and on ways that were missing from their respective areas due to new signs that were to go up the following week.

Luck has nothing to do with either of these because we were polite and respectful.Good luck with your situation

I've never gotten a ticket, but my hubby got one.. we got out of it because the police officer wrote down "ID" instead of "IN" for Indiana.

Case was DISMISSED!!!

The officer did not show, and about 15 people were dismissed! Great day today!!!
