Our officers and deputies were allowed to take their cars home and use them for personal transportation. The more visible patrol cars are on the streets the lower the crime rate (and our county has the second lowest in crime rate statistics of all 67 counties in Florida). I say "were" because they just stopped the part of using the cars for personal use (they can still take them home) because of the cutbacks with the economy.

thats a pretty amazing d.a.r.e car. looks pretty snazzy

I re-read the article and it seems like he has full ownership of it. It is a black magnum with red D.A.R.E. decals on the side, a custom hood, bull bars, lights, bodywork and other performance stuff. He says he uses it in patrols in the article.

Man... speeding in Europe is just a BAAAD idea knowing that THOSE are out there! Unless you've got one of these! (that is just asking for trouble!)

If I could have any street legal car... It would be a DBRS9

Me, I'm kinda partial to Vettes since I own one. The new ZR1 would be my choice. 6.2L, 600hp, 600 lb ft torque.

Default Crewzin.............

Gary, how many photo hosting sites do you have access to, anyway. You seem to have the right photo for every occasion. And how do you remember where each one is at. I can't remember what I had for lunch today. That is pretty impressive in my book.

Jim

P.S. Thanks for the photo sizing lesson, but I think I will be needing more.

Jim,

I only use PhotoBucket for my photo hosting but I do have quite a lot of photo's under 10 different categories. Most of the ones I use are under the heading of "miscellaneous" or "help".

Photo's like the ZR1 above are just taken from a search on Google. If you know how, you can transfer any photo from anywhere on the Internet over to the forum.

Right click on your photo above then hit properties and the location will tell you where your photo comes from. In your case I have it in PhotoBucket under miscellaneous. It will stay on this forum as long as it doesn't get deleted from that site.

That's soooo tight!

Instead of Magnums, we have lots of Charger patrol cruisers down here! I actually love to see them on the road...never thought that I would!

This is the appropriate vehicle for a police cruiser! You know you can't get away from one of those!
