Remote Start for 5 Speed
Hey all...
I have a non-PT general question... One of my cars is a 5 speed and I want to install remote start if possible. I have heard around that there are ones that sense the car is in neutral and then will allow it to start. Is this true? and if so anyone know of the cost on one? If I were to try and install myself how difficult would it be?

Yep, 5 speed and a remote starter. I wouldn't do it, especially if there are kids around.

Myu 5speed has a remote start for winter...its safe..you have to set it properly by setting the parking brake put it in neutral..pump brake than set it. Works good......Only one PROBLEM...out of the 3 vehicles I own in our frigid -30C to _40 c winters.....this is the only car I have equipped with remote start. and its now parked for the winters....and it is taking up one of my garage spaces...leaving my winter car outside....Luckily my 500$Corolla starts and runs like a top.
