Default Hunter

Went outside to check out the trees in the backyard because we've been having problems with bugs. Heard this screech and looked up about 20 feet from where I was standing.

That's crazy.

It just poured here!

Sorry for being late yesterday, I intended upon heading up there earlier but had to wait for the girlfriend to be ready to leave the house before I could lock it and go!

How'd the show go last night? We only got a sprinkle of rain, surprisingly.

Rained pretty good after about an hour and an half. About 75 cars showed up, and about half started to leave when the rain came. I'm watching our second downpour right now with lots of thunder in the background hoping we don't get a power drop.

Have them in my yard, too. Often I hear crows going nuts and harrassing a hawk, 'till the hawk has had enough.

Funny you should mention that Don. We have a smaller bird that has a nest high up in that same tree that the hawk was in. The small thing kept coming down and harassing the hawk but the hawk just stood it's ground keeping an eye on it. Probably could have taken the smaller one out any time it wanted to.

It might have been a mockingbird. Years ago, our cat would get harrassed by one every summer. By the time late July rolled around, we realized that we hadn't heard the mockingbird in a couple days. We'd then find a pile of mockingbird feathers in the yard...

That's pretty wild... here in Georgia last year I saw a bald eagle.

Came into work one morning and the bird was perched at the very top of a light pole at the end of the street. Didn't know they were around this area.
