Default Political: Putting a spin on economics

I was just listening to CNN and the News Break came on saying that the economics of the housing crisis was looking better. Home sales in June only dropped 18.1% whereas the sales were down in record breaking numbers for the two months prior to that.

Holy Crap! That's good news? We didn't have 3 record breaking months of house prices dropping through the floor!

In the words of a certain comic hero .......Good Grief, Charlie Brown !

Yeah, it's definitely one of those 'glass half full'/'glass half empty' things. Though I barely watch the news anymore, simply because it's never good and I like to read and hear about things and interpret them myself instead of having some middle aged man in makeup and a cheap suit with caps on his teeth tell me that the economy is on the 'upswing'. The day I have trouble pulling my wallet out of my pocket because of all the cash I'm holding, I'll believe that..

I feel fortunate not to have lost my job.

I don't pay much attention to the news on TV but I have caught a glimpse of unemployment lines a half mile long and I'm grateful I haven't had to experience that.

I work for a small company in Savannah, GA, Welcome to Teston Machine Corporation . Things were slow towards the end of last year, slow enough in fact that I had nothing to do for a few days so I put that website together. It was my first time ever doing website design and I think I did OK for a beginner.

Click the Waterjet link to see what I do every day.

Business has picked up... it's been steady since the first of the year and I've actually been getting 10 hours of OT every week for the last month...

Beats unemployment.

WTG Travis! You made good use of the extra time...
Nice site! Good message.
Glad "we" are doing fine. But, I "feel" for all the poor suckers who think that the government is going to make more jobs!
