Officially Official: 2010 Ford Taurus SHO! — Autoblog
I had a 93' SHO before the cruiser. It was the best car I've ever owned, and this newer sleeker version looks even better. 3.5L EcoBoost V6, 365 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 350 ft.-lb of torque at 3,500 rpm. Truly a beautiful machine.

You couldn't give me a SHO taurus from any year. Not because I am die hard Ma Mopar but when I was 19 I worked for Carquest and while some people had no problems more had TONS of problems. And everything on those cars is VERY expensive.

My Sheriff cruiser is the 2008 Taurus with the 3.5 ltr V6, 265hp, 6 speed automatic. It flys. Coming up to 25,000 miles of lots of city stop and go driving and a few miles of top end "cruising". Hasn't had any problems with oil changes and tire rotations every 5K.
I can't imagine what another 100hp would do to it. Torque steer is evident with mine when you punch it. The old SHO was only available with an automatic if I remember correctly.

I guess I was wrong, but I sure do seem to remember when the old V8 SHO hit the streets, it only came out with either auto or stick (can't remember which) but they (FORD) had a hard time because of all the torque the old SHO would put out. Maybe it was later in production that they had both auto and stick.

The thread started out about the FORD Taurus SHO. I don't think there was a Mustang SHO. Maybe your thinking of the Mustang SVO.

Is that Citrus County? The 1st gen SHO's were available only in manual, until 93. The only shos I've driven were manual. I can't say I remember any torque steering, but it came stock with an upgraded sport suspension system. Quote:
