Default Lost a Friend

A friend of mine from work was killed on his motorcycle on Saturday in a head on.

He picked up the Yamaha R6 on Saturday morning and by 3pm he was dead.

No formal safety training, he only read the book, wrote the test and got his motorcycle beginners permit which allows anyone to ride during the day.

It should be against the law to sell a bike to someone who has not taken the rider safety course (especially a racing bike like the R6), it may sound harsh but I believe it may also save some lives.

I myself took the course last year intent on buying a bike (Harley), but my wife and kids need me around a bit longer.

The PT is my passion, I can get all of the most very precious things that I love in it as well.

my dad made me take the safety course before I even thought about riding his bike, and even after that I feel like there's a lot of stuff you NEED to know before getting on a bike.

My condolences to you as well...

Hopefully this thread may serve as a caution to any new biker, be more careful than you think you need to be, always.

That's the reason I posted this.

Hey PianT,

Did this friend of yours work for Cogeco cable? My friend told me of his manager who was killed on his bike on Saturday Sept. 20th. I was just wondering if he was the same person.
