Candyman

I'm fairly new on the forums but have a lot of life experiences to reflect on.

Lots of prayer helps too..I'm a old X Ag pilot(Cropduster) ,The reason that I'm a X was similar but not as severe injury's . It's amazing what, with God's direction , medical science can do. It's been over 40 years since my accident and I'm still going although no longer in aviation but many other business' since...You can handle it ...Good Luck

I'm sorry to hear what you are having to go through. My thoughts and prayers are with you. My partner just had surgery on his back a few years ago (summer before I met him) and was in a wheel chair due to severe issues with his ciatic nerve that kept him from walking much further than from the wheel chair to bed without excruciating pain. He is alot better now and though the ciatic nerve still gives him trouble every so often is back on his feet.

I agree with others, put that effort that has been spent on the pt and put it to use on yourself. Just remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel regardless how dark it seems now. Even if you have to be in a wheel chair it is not the end. I actually had a guest at the hotel in a wheel chair that pulled out in a highly modded GTR.

Where there is a will there's a way and as shinny as ur pt stays, I see there is plenty of will there.

Thumbs up Re: I am afraid I am in kinda a tough spot, and might be gone for a while:

Don,
Best wishes for a full PT recovery from OKieland!
Had an injury and several torn disks a few years back myself, and I can still rememeber the debilitating pain down my right leg, that nothing seemed to help.
I thought my golfin days were over. But, after about a year of rehad and nerve root injections, I was back playing for over 2 years now. But, even now at 62, I can see the lack of mobility and range of motion getting worst as times goes along.
So, we ole guys will just have to take what life gives us, and hope we can at least share the PT keyboard a few more years.
Will be praying for 'ya!

Candyman being somewhat new to this site thats the first I've known about your troubles. I just got done saying a prayer of you and hope everthing goes well for you. If you made it through all that already you must be a strong person and will of course get through this alright, all you have to do is believe and it will be so. Your extended family here will always be here for you(at least that's way I look at everybody here). If you need more prayers I know lots of us are more than happy to help you out in that catergory...SO YOU in the immortal words of Candyman GO EASY!! We'll still be around and still needing you advice....as always...

You've got even more time now to plot some wicked ideas for your PT...on the brightest side.

Like everyone has said, we'll be waiting here for you. And don't worry, you'll still have the shiniest PT here

God Bless.

I also only know you and others here from recent posting.
From first hand experience you should be aware of the incredible healing power the body has.
Good luck with all treatments, and ask if the rehab has wifi.

Good luck to you CM. You'll be in our thoughts as well. Maybe one of your buddies close by can get you a laptop if you don't have one, and the shop will have wireless. Give you a chance to keep up with friends, and maybe learn some Photoshop if you haven't already!

I've also had a share of spinal issues, with surgery in 2000 to keep me out of a wheel chair, and some pain almost everyday since. Many of us here can identify and will keep you lifted in prayer. Hang in there brother!
