Default What is the cheapest non-parts car you've bought?

Just curious as to what is the cheapest car people have bought.

About 3 years ago I bought a 88 lebaron gtc vert for $50. Used it for 2 years as a daily driver and it is still being used every day by my partners son. The only thing it needed to run right was a head and tuneup. The rest of the needed work was cosmetic. We did tear down the engine just to double check it but nothing was needed.

Anyone else have a dirt cheap car story?

Free-ish? 1972 Chevy Impala sedan. Drove for 2 years before getting in a major accident with a 78 Monte Carlo- both cars totaled.

Back in 1993 I bought a '74 Ply. Duster from the original owner for $50.00. Stripped down version...Slant 6,with NO options!!! no radio or carpets, manual steering & manual brakes. Had 60K orig. miles, forest Green with green interior. It purred like a kitten I remember getting 23mpg. I sold it 6 weeks later for $500.00 to a friend in dire need of a cheap reliable car. Then 2 weeks later his wife runs off the road into a ditch and totals it. (she was fine) Wish I kept that one!

Back about 1972 my dad and I bought a 1962 Ford Falcon for $200; I drove it for a few years, Dad bought me out and drove it for a few more, Mom drove it for a couple, then in about 1983 Dad sold it to my cousin --- for $200! --- who drove it into a pond in 1987. (why yes, alcohol WAS involved, how did you guess?!?)

I bought a 1982 Mustang in the fall one year for $200 had to sell once spring came cause of the blue smoke coming from it. With the windows down in the spring the smoke would come in the windows and choke you. Sold it for $75 bucks. I also had a 1962 4-door Belair for $50 bucks from one of my friends. I drove it for 2 years and sold it to another friend for $50 bucks. It had 70,000 miles(lowmiles) but lots of dents, I guess the grandma my friend bought it from didn't drive to well.
