Default insurance on your points

In Ontario, we can now (last 6 months) pay for a supplement to our insurance that will protect our "star" rating if we are involved in an accident or get a ticket. It's like paying insurance on your insurance rating.

Thanks Punch, did not know that.

Sounds like a nice way for the Insurance companies to get around the upcoming government imposed roll backs.

In Florida (and maybe other states), you can go to a driving school/class that'll keep points off your licence. Not sure if it will keep the violation completely off your record though. [:I]

In North Carolina, if you have not had a ticket within three years you can ask for a 'Prayer for Judgement' and your ticket will be dismissed. Of course you have to pay court cost. The driving school/class is another option to have your ticket dismissed.

In New Jersey, to keep points off, bribes usually work... Just kidding.

If you get enough points, you HAVE to attend classes, but as far as I know, only time drops points - the points stay for 18 months, I think.
I have never had to go to class, but only rarely have had zero points for long.[:0]
