I/we relocated and retired from Mid-Michigan to Florida. When those of you from up North are getting bad weather, we smile as we have "Been there, Done that". I live on Merritt Island approx 6 miles south of Kennady Space Center. When a COLD front comes thru, we laugh as it gets down to a low of 49 (this morning), to many of us, that is NOT cold. We also live about 1 hour from Orlando (Home of the Mouse!!)
Can you tell that we enjoy it here? ![]() |

We live in the beautiful state of Maine and we love the four seasons. We have traveled to Florida, California and the midwest and my wife and I much prefer the four seasons that we have here. We make the most of it and enjoy each season to it's fullest. From the beautiful New England winter beauty to the beauty of the spring when every thing shows a new beginning of green in leaves, flowers etc, the very high heat of the summer when we enjoy the outdoors the most, to the beautiful fall with the crispy air and colored leaves, why I don't believe it can get any better. Of course being retired allows us the freedom to stay in when the weather is nasty and that alone will change ones out-look. Having indoor hobbies makes it all worth while also. You asked and you received.[?]

I like Washington State even if we get more rain than some other places. My wife and I moved to the northwestern part of the state after we retired and think it's a great place to live.
We previously lived in California for many years and decided to "go north"--no regrets whatsoever. [^]![]() |
