Default The Ultimate Scam

This has got to be the biggest brain washing marketing Scam I have ever witnessed. If you have teenagers you can relate. I guess I'm showing my age but this makes no sense to me. YOu know that fashion store for young people, sounds something like (Have -a Crappie with a fish?> abrocrombie &fitnch or whatever. anyway, I walked in there (not my own choice) for a few things my son had on his list. THEY ARE SELLING JEANS THAT LOOK WORSE THAN THE ONES i THREW OUT 10 YEARS AGO WITH HOLES IN THEM FOR $70-$80!!!!!!!!!does this mean my old faded jeans are now collectors items and worth big bucks? who in their right mind would buy garbage like that for that kind of money? guess what, we did, man do I feel like I got ripped off. I guess they are smarter than I, they got my $$$$, and I'm sick over it. Gary[xx(]

I always loved brand-new jeans. You could hardly bend your knees, they were so stiff, but they made you feel invincible, like you could run through thorn bushes and not feel it. Now, those are hard to find - everythings "pre-washed". I'll break in my own jeans, thank you.

Even at the rip-off prices take those jeans to Eastern Europe - they're nuts about them!

It's today's attitude, instant gratification! Kids today are too impatient to buy a pair of jeans and wear them long enough to fade and develop holes. Nothing like finding a great fitting pair of jeans and wearing them until they fall apart (sometimes that may take a couple of years).

Back in the '80s I remember we had to bleach them ourselves, cut the holes and stone wash them to look like rockers that we where. People used to look at us like we where crazy people walking around with torn down pants and jackes... Now, it is whats in and I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of pants like that...

I guess I am getting older...

Ian

And to think that I used to wear a bow tie and white bucks when I was in school just to be cool. If I remenber right, jeans were not allowed and yes it was a public school. Oh ya I forgot, we put taps on our shoes back then and what a racket they made in school. Gary, just deal with it. It will pass............LOL

I've got Levis in the closet that I've had for over 17 years!!!

Some years they didn't fit anymore, but now they do.

It's true, they are the most comfortable jeans ever, worn in all the right places and some holes. I only wear them on "special" occasions, like Cruiser shows!!

My wife almost cut them up one day for rags, now that would be grounds!!!!

Me thinks day buys em cuz demz wat da foks hate.

Turboman, why not market your own jeans. You could call them Dragster Drawers. Take one pair of the aforementioned combat-grade stiffies, drop them in a puddle of bleach, and have a Nitro Hemi do a burnout over them [8)][?][?][?]

Shreaded, softened, stinky, and now even pre-skidmarked.........
