the sticker was $43,000 and two people were bidding it up toward $47,000. while the dealer just sat back and smoked a cigar. (now I know why I don't like car dealers) It might of had a V6 not sure. I can't wait to go to the auto show.

You mean you haven't been in one. Down in my area in FL, there are more Escalades, 350z, New Qx4's, some Diablos and even Modena down near the marina, then most other cars. This area has alot of money, which I don't get any of.

There have been a couple (2) of SSR's around my area and I have not yet gotten in one either, given the opportunity I would have.

To bad I was living my weekend job the other day and a member had one in the lot. I was in a hurry to go to dinner and didn't have a chance to see it.

There is an article in this months Motot Trend magazine about the Chevy SSR. Apparently they have plans, or are at least thinking of, building an SSR that is styled after the PT Cruiser. They are also looking at making an SSR panel cruiser!!!! I don't have a copy of the magazine here, but it did have pictures of both of those concepts, which were also expected to have V-8's in them as well! They looked really sweet!!!

This being SoCal I've seen a few of the new SSRs running around. Going to lunch one day last week I pulled into the parking lot and the first available parking space was right next to an SSR and some guy was walking around it, admiring the thing. I pull in with my freshly detailed, brand spankin' new PT and step out. The guy looks at me and says "What is this? Is there a 'Retro Parking Only' sign around here?!" Then he looks my new baby over and adds with an approving nod, "Nice car."
