"Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is." |

Show your work...it's those damned train problems all over again, hehe.
I am assuming the messenger maintains the same speed in both directions. I am also assuming that by row, you mean column. A row is shoulder-to-shoulder, a column is single file. I think you are right, though. Drawing upon my selective-memory-trying-to-forget-with-some-success algebraic skills: Md = Messenger's distance Sd = Soldier's distance (if messenger stayed in line) f(Md) = 1000+x+(1000-x) f(Sd) = 2000-x They intersect at 2Km, but I am not sure that is right. Is that right? heh, I hate algebra. |

LOL rolo, yeah IR already got that one , I'm the worst at Math and forget algebra, kinda ironic eh, computer guru but i just suck at math. Anyway, I found that somewhere on some unsolvable riddles page, apparently it was a tough one.

haha, I suck at math too, but great at computers. Don't you hate when non-computer people try to tell you that math and computers are "the same thing" and that you "should be good at both"?
