Default Torque Wrench

Any suggestions on where to buy a decent torque wrench that doesn't cost an arm & a leg?

I bought mine at Sears. Something like $20-25.

Mine is a Craftsman also, haven't had any problems with it, good thing is lifetime replacement.

LOL! I wondered where that went!

Torque wrenches, yes, I went with Craftsman...good quality (I like the way it handles), not expensive, and easy to service. Snap-on is fine for professional use-it-constantly stuff, otherwise too expensive and too much of a pain to contact the Snappy guy.

I got the 10-75 ft.-lb. micrometer-style wrench to install my strut tower brace so far. I will get others for other stuff, a good in.-lb. one and one that goes a little over 185 ft.-lb. (the highest torque required by the Service Manual)

I also bought a two-piece tool cabinet/chest set at the same time on impulse (I needed one anyway). I mention the impulse because the PT is handy for unplanned large purchases. Salesman: "Did you drive a truck today?"
"No, why?"
"How are you going to get this home?"
"Oh, I have a PT Cruiser; this will fit just fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Care to make a little wager?"
"Oh, alright, we'll see."

I pulled into the loading zone, flip, slide, flip, flip, instant truckster. The large boxes fit nicely and he was checking out the PT and asking many questions. On my way home, I could not help but think, "hehe, G-d, I love this f*****g car!"

Might as well go with Sears. Micrometers and torque wrenches are two things you don't want to buy on the cheap.
Be sure and back it off to 0 to 20 ftlbs when not in use.
