I can remember when email was a big thing, but then, there's some dirt that's younger than I am.

Things have changed quickly, can't say I miss the 300 baud modems though.

LOL! But of course those had to be replace with 14.4 followed by 19.2, etc. You'd buy one and before it was a month old they would come out with a faster one. Trying to keep up with technology gets expensive.

yeh i remember when i got a 33.6 and i was all excited and then when i tried to connect , my max would be 28.8 or maybe 31.2...blahhhh...tied up my phone line for days on end.

the sad thing is the cmputers we use at the ticket counter for work are still basicly a 60's model memorex telex systems, gotta boot em with a floppy and all the backups are on tape, wooooohoooo green text on a black screen, figure they could have updated by now[:0]

ughh i hate that system

Yea, no kidding! Plenty of places are getting rid of old computers, hook'em up with HyperTerminal! (or even Telix)
