I didnt really "own" it but it became my car when I turned 16y/o.
1976 (I think) El Camino Classic. I dont remember specs but I know it had a big V8. Not a 350, I dont think it had a 454......mabye a 402? But it was fun as hell and could lay down the rubber[8)] 100% Original. only 50k miles when I got her. I think its got about 80k now.

I traded a 1999 Chevy Tracker for my Cruiser. It was loaded. 4WD, etc., and I really liked it - just wanted a PT Cruiser. Before that I owned 2 Chevy S-10 pickups, a Ford Escort EXP, Ford Pinto, Volkwagon Super Beetle, Fiat 128 and while living in London owned a Rover 3500 V8 that was a tank. I liked all my cars. They were all good to me, never had any major repair bills on any of them. My favorite has always been the own I have at the moment. Never had a bad one. Never had an accident until I was rear-ended in my PT.

1987 Mercedes 420SEL. Drove it 15 years with little mechanical problems. It had 165,000 miles on it when I sold it for $9,250. MB don't make them like they use to.

1980 Chrysler Cordoba LS, 318, auto, big as a Death Star but a comfy ride. Regular service, didn't have to crack the engine till 136,000 miles for a timing chain and water pump.
Wish I still had that car sometimes. |
