I don't really know why I am taking the time to start a thread on this, but the forthcoming Freestyle is going to be a winner. It's a hybrid of minivan and SUV... that's right: it's a Station Wagon [?]
Here it is: ![]() Full frame with available 4WD (Oh I'm sorry, I meant AWD) and a more reasonable body height campared to the Explorer. Interior has 3-rows of usable seats albeit the rears don't face rearward like the '71 Country Squire. Oh how we've come full circle. |

Not too bad looking for a minivan,but it ain't a cruiser.The grill is begging for a do-over!!
I remember riding on many a family vacations in the back of a ford s/w.My dad was a big man be even he couldn't reach all the way back to wack one of us!! the big grin says the world dosen't need another minivan/suv/s.w./sportette/whatever it is

gimme a break..that car simply looks like a squashed explorer...ford?please...creative,aren't they...so creative their latest sports car to compete with the viper is yet another throwback(gt)albeit,a beutiful one,i'll give them that...
but this freestyle? nah the hemi magnum,now we're talkin

What I conceptually like about it is that it has the potential to actually take [u]away</u> some of the poseur SUV market... and some of the minivan market as well. Get those tirds off the road!! BTW: This is a good thing.
I think the socially acceptable term these days is anything ironically "sport", so I'd guess it's a Sport Wagon. No, wait - the PT is a sport wagon, and Subi makes a sport wagon. So I guess it's just a wagon. Boy, that'll never fly. I'd rather see this thing on the road rather than another "truck". |
