Lot's of forums delete posts, and I would say this post has a 50/50 chance of not being deleted.

The forum's free isn't it? They don't have to answer. Most likely it's to avoid controversy that can ultimately lead to legal hassles. I appreciate their existence.

Yep. He who holds the keys, makes the rules, and that is certainly their right to do.

Why would an administrator of a "public" forum delete a post like that?

One of many reasons, including, but not limited to, Liability, Slander, it possibly defames an advertiser, or maybe he just didn't like the way Mean Green picked his nose......really, it could be anything.

ARE YOU PEOPLE PART FRENCH?

We saved their butts in two world wars and they treat us like crap.

You have several hundred FREE posts on here and you whine over losing one. If you want to always GET your way, then BUY your way.

Like, quicksilverdon, I also "appreciate their existence." [^]
While many of the "public forums" on the Internet may seem "free"--they are not. The owner/administrator is responsible for their functioning and overall quality--this takes both time and effort--in short, much WORK! IMHO there is no such a thing as a "free forum" as somebody has to see to it that the forum's software/server, etc. is "up and running" 24/7. Needless to say, it also takes lots of time monitoring forum threads to insure people follow the forum guidelines which they agreed to when they signed on as members/users. There is no such thing as a "free lunch" although there are people out there who would like it, and a few, who expect it. The latter are, usually..."here today, GONE tomorrow". They frequently take from the forum what they want and then leave after a few weeks/months of posting (receiving the "free" information they were seeking that will save them time/money when purchasing/modifying their cars). Take a look at this forum's membership listing--over 2000 members with less than 100 posting on a regular basis--and, that doesn't count all the "lurkers" out there who benefit from the forum but do not sign in as members.

Something to think about. Just my two cents. [?]

I doubt whether they will get any answers anyway. I have not seen a response from a DCX employee on their forum in a looooong time! At least on the Official Mopar News and any of the threads I have visited.
At least they didn't delete the whole thread like when Dodgetweeker and myself got into some interesting conversation one time and a lot of good info got flushed down the toilet.
