If the disgusting freaks of nature that flew those planes into the WTC had done one last little bit of research on Life in These United States they would have known that EVERYBODY would have been at work an hour later and the death toll could easily have been 3-4 times what it was.

So yes indeed, thank God for the "little things".

I agree. If it had happened at say, 10:00, would've been much worse. That was the first thing that crossed my mind.
A good friend of mine was on the first subway taht was stopped - he had been in the WTC for the first bombing in '93.
I'd be toast. I'm always one of the first in at work.

This has happen to me once.

One night I was driving home and got in the turn lane to turn into my subdivision.
Two girls pulled up next to me and said "Hi".
So I rolled my window down and said hi back.
They said hey "You got a green light.", which was expressed like a question.
I said "Huh?".
As the driver pointed at the light, a van coming the opposite way, was moving over into the turn lane, as I looked up.
I said "Thanks." and started to lift my foot off the brake and I realised the van wasn't stopping and went around the other cars to travel straight.
If I would have not payed attention to the girls I would have been hit in a head on collition with this van, at what seemed about 40-45 mph.
