Default Cheaper HMO indicators...

INDICATORS THAT YOUR EMPLOYER HAS CHANGED TO
A CHEAPER HMO...

1) Your annual breast exam is done at Hooter's.

2) Directions to your Doctor's office include "Take a left when
entering the trailer park."

3) The tongue depressors taste faintly of Fudgesicles.

4) The only proctologist in the plan is "Gus" from Roto-Rooter.

5) The only item listed under Preventative Care coverage is "An
apple a day."

6) Your primary care physician is wearing the pants you gave to
Goodwill.

7) "The patient is responsible for 200% of out of net charges" is
not a typographical error.

8) The only expense covered 100% is "embalming."

9) With your new HMO, your Prozac come in different colors with
Little "M"s on them.

AND THE NUMBER ONE SIGN YOU'VE JOINED A VERY CHEAP HMO:

10) You ask for Viagra, and they give you a Popsicle stick and Duct
tape.

That's funny, some of the insurance is like none at all. Out of necessity people are going back to being thier own doctors. I bet lots of money could be made on do it your self doctor books. I heard that when doctors went on strike in Canada. The mortality rate rose. Less people died the whole month. Why do you think they still call what their doing a pratice.

Nearly in the "too true to be funny" category. Don't distribute that list - they'll adopt many of them.

IMHO - there is no good insurance any more - all varying degrees of bad.[xx(]

Yeah everytime you walk in its like they just got out of school and give what you have a wierd look, and say "I'll be right back with a perscription.". Then they go look it up in on of thier school medical books to see if your symptoms match something in thier books.

No offense to any doctors who are practical and own a PT, instead of there 85,000 car.
