Default Reno?

Phone rings at work,

Better half "This really nice furniture place is having a 50% off sale"

Me "Oh?"

"Yeh, they have a see through fireplace on sale for $2700.00, installed"

I'm trying to think of a place we could put that in our house, "Where would we put it?"

"In the new bathroom"

"We're getting a new bathroom?"

"Well ours is too small, and the fixtures need replacing"

"But a fireplace?"

"When we knock out the wall between the spare bedroom and the bathroom, expand the bathroom into the new big room, we can put the fireplace in the wall between the new bathroom and the master bedroom"

Me,"Pardon?"

"It's a good deal at $2700.00 for that fireplace!"

"Honey, that sounds like a MAJOR job, how will we pay for it?"

Better half "We need a new bathroom, ours is old"

At this point I'm thinking, I need a new custom exhaust, springs, sways, tires and shocks, not to mention I want to build a garage, but I know I can shower, shave and cr#$ in the bathroom, no problem. I can install new tiles around the tub and shower myself and be done with it.

Ah, domestic bliss.....

I got that, too.
SHe- We need a new kitchen table.
Me - Why?
She- We've had it since we're married.
Me- So? There's nothing wrong with it.
She - Well, it's old and I'm tired of it.
Me - Well, I've had you since we're married, too - should I be tired and want new?

The kids thought that was hilarious, wife wasn't as amused as I hoped... [:0]

We just moved in 3 years ago to a brand new house here in Florida. The wife's talking about replacing all the carpets and having all the doors and baseboards repainted! Everything still looks brand new to me! [:I]

We have already repainted and refinished 3 rooms, removed carpeting and replaced it with laminate flooring in kitchen, living and dining room. She didn't like the cheap carpeting[xx(]. Luckily I am handy with tools. House is 6 years old, we have been here 3 years in May.[^]
