Thanks Tom. Went to the site and punched in one of the numbers and it told me what it was. It then listed the site to go to to get all the latest critical updates and I did and it came back and said I have them all. Put the "Window Update" site on my favorites and will go there from time to time and see what's available. I had just had my computer upgraded to Windows XP Home about a month ago because of all the problems with the ME package.

Crewzin, you can set up your computer to let you know automatically when updates are ready to download. There is a way, but right now I can't find it[xx(]. Someone else Please Jump in.

Went to the "Automatic Updates" page and the top line reads: "connecting to window update service, please wait" and I waited and waited and waited. The thing never updated and the boxes that I need to check aren't highlighted so I couldn't put a check in them. Will try later. Thanks guys.

As long as you keep your system defraged, updated, a good anti virus program, and don't open strange attachments. You shoun't need Doc Watson. I could be wrong but I think Doc Watson helps out if you down load a bad driver [8)](KISS) keep it simple silly.

And Hooligan is right you can set it to automaticly download the updates. Just right-click on the "My Computer" icon, go to "Properties", Click on the "Automatic Updates" tab. Everything you need is right there. For most folks I would suggest the automaticly download and install option.
