Who would have thought that after Scotty Bowman retired and so many of the key guys left that the Red Wings would still end up with the best regular season record??

Went to that game yesterday, and I still don't have a voice. What a good time! Sucks that we have to deal with some injuries, but that was just crazy.

I have to admit, that was some real bad ass whippin' going on there yesterday. Philly smoked Toronto bad that game, what a lunch box let down that was, in fact, it was (almost) a waste of beer!!

I hope to at least be able to say "they tried" but if Toronto keeps this up I would be lying.

The sick thing won't work, as my boss knows I'm too much of a flyer fan for that. I may as well just quit if i tried calling in sick. But I did just suck it up and call and ask if I could miss work tomorrow. We made a deal that he'd let me out as soon as I am no longer needed (this is a part-time job anyway). SO hopefully I'll get to catch at least the last half...

I think that Stevie would have been done after this series/season anyway. I think he was trying to give it one more push after a disappointing playoffs last season. But it looks like that wouldn't have mattered now, anyway. How about Calgary!?

Should be an interesting Western conference finals!

Didn't see anything about the 4 plates, but the thing hit him just below his left eye and broke the bones around his eye. 4.5 hours of surgery to put him back together and he's expected to make a full recovery. He still wants to play, but the looming strike/lockout could nix that.

Bah, the season's over anyway as the Wings went down in flames last night (pun intended).

Red Wings [xx(] died last night. Enough hockey for me. Actually I'll keep up on the score box, got to see who wins.


BTW Stevie did NOT have plates inserted. He also wound up with a scratched corena. He is lucky he didn't lose the sight in that eye.
