Who would have thought that after Scotty Bowman retired and so many of the key guys left that the Red Wings would still end up with the best regular season record??
Hooligan, I'm with you dude! Love the Wings, hate the weather back "home". Been in SoCal for 14 years - and about 5 minutes away from the Arrowhead Pond, home of the Mighty Ducks. (please don't anyone remind about the Wings/Ducks last year, ok? Too painful!)[B)] Game On!!

YEAH FLYERS!!!! WAY TO PUT A BEATING ON THOSE BOYS FROM TORONTO!
One more win, baby! Went to that game yesterday, and I still don't have a voice. What a good time! Sucks that we have to deal with some injuries, but that was just crazy. Sorry I didn't get a chance to post to congratulate the leafs on the victory in game 4, but I guess it's a little late for that now! LETS GO FLYERS!! [?]

I have to admit, that was some real bad ass whippin' going on there yesterday. Philly smoked Toronto bad that game, what a lunch box let down that was, in fact, it was (almost) a waste of beer!! I hope to at least be able to say "they tried" but if Toronto keeps this up I would be lying. You must be smiling large after that!! Congratulations. PS Go Leafs Go!!

You don't look so good, are you coming down with something?[:0] The local DJ predicts a 4-0 Toronto win tomorrow, I wouldn't put any money on that, no way. I am praying to the hockey gods Primeau gets sick or something..... ![]() I think he would look better in blue and white.

PianT,
The sick thing won't work, as my boss knows I'm too much of a flyer fan for that. I may as well just quit if i tried calling in sick. But I did just suck it up and call and ask if I could miss work tomorrow. We made a deal that he'd let me out as soon as I am no longer needed (this is a part-time job anyway). SO hopefully I'll get to catch at least the last half... Bigslim, I think that Stevie would have been done after this series/season anyway. I think he was trying to give it one more push after a disappointing playoffs last season. But it looks like that wouldn't have mattered now, anyway. How about Calgary!? Should be an interesting Western conference finals! Who do y'all think will win tonight's game between Colorado and San Jose?

Didn't see anything about the 4 plates, but the thing hit him just below his left eye and broke the bones around his eye. 4.5 hours of surgery to put him back together and he's expected to make a full recovery. He still wants to play, but the looming strike/lockout could nix that. Bah, the season's over anyway as the Wings went down in flames last night (pun intended). |
