Default Memorial Day

Let us not forget the Men and Women of our Armed Services, Police and Fire Departments and all those who have served and those who are presently serving our great country. Give a veteran, law enforcement officer, or fireman a smile. Say a prayer for them and know you are as safe as can be because of them. [|)] [^]

Drive safely [8)] and enjoy the holiday weekend. [?]

Thanks for reminding those that need reminding. Too many only think of it as "a day off", "barbecues", and "shopping sales".

my father served proudly in the Navy during WWII on the battleship North Carolina. when he passed suddenly in '99 there were a number of shipmates that spoke of him during the memorial. i always enjoyed listening to him when he talked about being in the service. what a guy. love him and miss him.
yup, vets deserve all the kudos they receive. great people and great service to our country.
