Absolutely lovely here this morning. 48 degrees when I got up and 65 in the house. The wife and kids are whining that it's "chilly" in the house. I told them to put on long pants and a jacket. No turning on the heat. I wonder what they'd do if it actually got cold one night? I had the ceiling fan and a floor fan running all night in the bedroom. I like it cool when I sleep.

Drizzly rain.
So the PT is covered head to toe.

Weather is perhaps the biggest factor in why I moved from NW NJ to Mid-Del.
Only 165 miles, but I'm on a peninsula (DelMarVa) and winters are WAY milder, and summers not much worse.
I would get below zero regularly in NJ - you can't do squat when it's below zero - and the damn snow would hang around - here in Del, less snow and it melts quicker.

Yeah, even though we are used to it here, (I've lived here most of my life except for a couple years in North Carolina) and my wife has as well. We are getting to the point where this is enough. I just gotta make it to retirement, (hopefully without getting laid off soon) and we're outta here.

i'm about to find out if i have that willingness to get stuff done in winter that i had in my youth. i'm wanting to rip my engine and trans out in my driveway.

i have a sign shop i'd rather not store a car in, and it's a (very fun) drinking town + a little close to chicago's west side. my previous mustang was parked here and someone smashed a window out for no reason. the car had untinted windows and it was stripped inside, like no carpet, no dash, seats, etc. ready to get a roll cage welded in. absolutely no reason to break in.

so i'm planning to do it in my cold snowy gravel driveway in my cute little crime free suburb instead. i need warm clothes. i remember the cold being no biggie when wearing insulated carhartt overalls

Cool Re: Your Local Weather

I was outside in a t-shirt this afternoon! It was about 60 degrees.
Supposed to cool down here over the weekend with highs in the 40's...

Just got to test the heater/defroster in my 05 Conv, driving home from the Club Rodeo Country Dance club in 24 degree weather.

Worked just fine but took awhile to get all the windows defrosted. Actually it frosted up the interior windows first when heater was turned on then took awhile to defrost them.

Still a little shy about trying the heated seat function. Don't want to stress the electrical system too much at once with lights and heater already on.

Yeah, I have done a few repairs (not that big though) in the snow. When I was younger.

I do have a heated (a little - we keep it closed off to save on the heating bill) garage now to work in. Even that is annoying when it's REALLY cold out. Then you get all the sand and salt and melting sh*t falling in your face and eyes, even just trying to change the oil.

Not fun.
