Default Black PT's Beware!

Hey..I guess that means I'm COOL [8D]

Black cars 'most likely to crash'

Black cars are more likely to crash than cars of any other colour, a survey suggests.

The Sun says a survey of 130,000 accident claims by insurers Churchill found black the most risky colour, with silver coming second.

Cream-coloured cars were the safest.

But the paper claims the problem is less to do with the colour than the personality of the driver choosing it.

Psychologist Donna Dawson said: "We think about colour all the time, from what we wear to how we feel.

"This emotional influence transfers to how we drive."

She claims people choosing black are aggressive and outsiders, with those choosing silver being cool and aloof.

Drivers choosing cream, on the other hand, are self-contained and in control.

Colour? Does that mean only the UK PT's are at this risk? Also, Black PT's are at risk because the owner's drive them faster to get away from dust, rain, puddles, bugs...

I would say people chooseing cream, don't like to clean the car much.
I dson't know who took this survey, but I noticed that almost every
time the car I don't see is white. Maybe it's just me.

I guess the survey was right, at least in our case. We have a Black '03 Limited 5 speed and it was "crashed" last weekend. We were stopped at a light and were rear ended by a woman going 25-30 and pushed into the car in front of us. I hate surveys that are right !![:0]
