This is a picture taken off of the internet, but have seen a few of these around Chicago... I just don't get it... How do you define "Cruising"... I just wanted to see some opinions about this or if someone knows what is means...

(...Also, I am startin' to get used to this board rather than "the other one"...)

Lets get all the PT owners from the forums to show up there at the same time and start cruising in one PT mass until the cops stop us![?][8)][^][?][8)][:X]

I live a few miles from Salem, Oregon. There are certain streets in Salem that kids like to cruise up and down at night showing off their cars. Kids congegrate in groups at convienience stores, doughnut shops, etc watching the cruisers. kids will get rowdy and fights may happen. Pisses off other drivers, pedestrians, store owners and especially the cops. The kids will get pulled over and given tickets. The cops will count how many times you go back and forth and nail you. Signs are posted anywhere a cuising site becomes popular.

yeah ive heard of that
pretty sure that third times the charm on that one.

Here on Long Island there is RT231 (Deer Park Ave.), popular for cruising but also a great place to get rear ended or a ticket. The serious street racers take it to a different location but some race right at the lights there [:I]

I have seen these signs....the definitions of cruising vary by municipality, for example, when I was in phoenix it was three times past the same spot in one hour was considered cruising...kind of harsh, I think, but gets the job done.

in my home town it was 5 laps... so, wed just change directions, stop, eat, etc... enought to not count as cruising.

Around here the cops don't really mind. Kids do a figure 8 from a stores parking lot around a block a little ways away and back. Too bad that block is the one I live on. [xx(]Oh well I guess I'll just be seeing my house alot! As long as you don't break a law they won't pull you over, or anything like that.
