Info from a friend, our manufactured house was NO DAMAGE. We have power, water and phone, we are much better off than some others.

SakiGT lives in/near Jacksonville with her dad in a mobile home.

We will NOT be thinking about returning until at least next Sunday depending where IVAN goes. If it comes into Florida we will return to NC.

My neices husband left the Detroit area Friday in a convoy of 25 trucks to help restore power. As of Sunday they were holed up in Atlanta until they could head into Florida.

Good luck to all in Florida.[^]

The bad thing with living in the Southeast is hurricanes...but it goes with the territory. Some get lucky and some don't. The season ain't over yet so cross your fingers.

This is KingKole02 Reporting in.

During Charley we were out of power for 5-1/2" days. We ate nothing but sandwiches and lunch meat that kept in the cooler pretty well. For breakfast in was cereal with box milk that didn't need to be cold until opened. Dinner was a nice assorment of yet another sandwhich and some cold out of the can baked beans.
Man when your hot and have no running water or power there is nothing better then your meals let me tell you. In 90 degree 100%+ humidity and a sweat soked shirt dinner is yet pleasent.

Frances however we were most futuante. We lost power for five minutes had running water the whole time. I boarded only our biggest window at 4x9 with three pieces of 4x5 wood. We had alot of debris that we figure would blow around but it stay pretty stationary.

We left our house Saturday mouring one of the nicer days that weekend. We went to my Grandmothers. Its a single floor condo with to places on each side, its pretty safe.

We have some leaks in the roof, back at our house, thats it. We made it out well. The tarp from Charley came off mostly and now another water spot showed up on the interior.

Glad to see everyone else has checked in for the most part so far.

Yet another storm. I think I need to invest in a T-shirt company and make millions.

My grandmother had got the ones from the newspress for Charley with the headlines from the paper. There pretty cool looking.

Before long there will be 3-4 shirts Charley, Frances, Ivan (possibly) and definitely I survived FL 2004.
