Default Tropical Storm JEANNE

OK, Floridians...here's the next one on the way...and we didn't get rid of IVAN yet. JEANNE is expected to reach Hurricane strength by tomorrow and take a turn north so it looks like the east coast is the target area for this one.

Here we go again!

Ivan may be done with Florida, but my company's Alabama branch is down due to Ivan!
The company also announced they will beuild a new data center in either Florida or North Carolina - we all figure Florida is pretty much out!

Crewzin, in light of what you guys are going through, I don't think I'll be complaining much this winter when we are up to our elbows in snow.

Luckly JEANNE has taken a more northern path, should pass us 100-150 miles out, so the EXPERTS say.

I plan to be in Tampa at a time share all next week. Hope I don't have to come home and pack up AGAIN!!!![:I]

My granny use to blamed all the bad weather on "those GD astronauts.
Never happened before we started sending men up in space", she'd say.
Who knows if she was right. Keep yourselves safe

Well hurricanes are much older than that... here's a brief history of hurricanes that hit the US, dating back to the 1900.

Ooops I forgot the link... here you go....

Guess Granny didn't know 'bout the hurricane that came in at Galveston in the early 1900s, and killed several thousand people. It was the worst storm in US history.
