It's illegal to keep weapons in the car within reach here, so I keep one of those real long maglights. Their solid and with the batteries inside, can do very good damage.

You have to keep a three motion move to get to your gun. Ok I reach to passenger seat, pull back and reload, and take safty off. []

Mag light will do the trick for sure.
