For all of the HYPE on bringing back the DRAFT, seems like that didn't mean squat when it came to young people voting.[:I]

To me the embarrassment isn't that we have a low turn out rate (although it was pretty high this time). The embarrassment is that so many people don't take the time to look in to the issues. Too many people let the media spoon feed them a biased viewpoint.

The most incredulous lies spewed by the likes of Michael Moore (and Dan Rather) are believed whole heartedly despite the evidence. I'm glad when the uninformed "slackers" don't vote.

While I'm saddened by the low voter turnout, I still think It's better to not vote than to vote for the wrong guy. Although the best thing would be to research the facts yourself and register and informed vote.

i am a younging and i took full advantage of my right to vote, i wasnt gonna sit and watch anymore, I actually wanted to kow that my vote was included, If aything it gives me the right to complain for the next four years. I dunno who more youg people didn't vote, i thought draft hype would bring them out, personally i am medically exempt from service but i mean still more youg people should have voted.

i'm in rochester right now canada aint that far, only down side is my g/f will still be here and i'd be on my own completely. I think i'll just become a teacher and hopefully educate my students to try and influence the next generation to learn from the mistakes of mine and the ones before me (im a history major)

yay, Canada, where the taxes are high, and you can say anything you want as long as it doesn't offend anyone but white Christians.
