First off, that first truck was not rated to do a side lift with that much weight. The boom was to far down also. This was an accident waiting to happen. They probably estimated the weight of the car but not the weight of the car plus all the water it took on.

OOOPS!!! Going down thru the pictures after reading Mike's title of the link (Who's got a bigger crane) I fully expected to see the larger crane go over the edge.

Yeah, it was a disaster waiting to happen. You could kind of tell something's not right by the way the first crane was leaning way too much. Hopefully nobody was hurt.
