Did someone say "vacation"???? Don't come to sunny SoCal....there hasn't been anything sunny about this place since Christmas Day, and I for one am getting sick and tired of it. Weather.com is showing rain off and on for the next 10 days here. More like rainy SoCal if you ask me....and I want a partial refund on all the extra $$$$ we pay to live in year round good weather gosh dang it all!

Jimbo,

Just got back to Florida after visiting the grandkids in West Virginia. Although the first week was quite cold up there, it turned mild for our last week. Back here, it was 78 today. ...what a difference. Almost everyone up north we came in contact with had some sort of cold or flu and you can guess what happened. Both the wife and I came back down south with our own form of whatever was going around. My nose is still running and the wife can't stop coughing even with 2 different cough suppressants that I got from the pharmacy. [:0]

I stayed home from work today because of a nasty cold, raspy cough etc. It is -38F this morming, thank God for no wind at the moment. Our winter was very mild until the very end of Dec. whem we received about 14" of snow.

I'm looking forward (NOT!) to a 100-mile round trip commute w/freezing rain - my favorite.

couple inches of snow right now with some more coming tonight, and i leave for college on friday so its putting a damper on my plans to see my friends and my g/f alot before i go, also not having a car does't help either. I think after college i'll see about moving south, i wonder how teachers are paid down there...

From what I'm hearing...not too much. But I think that's the case all over...one of the most deserving, but under paid jobs in the whole country.
