Damm, I thought I'd be first with this info.

I get very mixed feelings about the HHR.

The interior is bland.

The shape is nice but boarders on SUV and some of there other products.

It's suppost to have more room than the PT.

The front end isn't great. Something more like the SSR without the grill going so high would look beter and be closer to the old Suburban they are suppost to be copying.

The West Coast Custom one looks nice and I usaully am not a fan of thier stuff. Shame you can't some of it as factory options. Like the chop to, body kit, interior with color to it.

I'm interested in HHR. I'd like to see it & drive it in person but I doubt know if I'd buy it over the PT.

-Joe

P.S. It's suppost to be at the L.A. autoshow right now. But with them saying it's going to rain for the next week straight I don't know if I'm going to go cause it's a long and crummy drive in the wet.

Let's see if GM will offer warranty Stage kits. If they do, then it's off to GM I go.
They'll have to go turbo first. Is that in the future?
they have a supercharger for the 2.4 ecotec which is in the cobalt SS, its suposed to bring it to 200HP, may see a tweak in that, persoanlly i'd rather see GM put the 3800 V6 with the Supercharger option, base would be 200HP and 245HP with the Supercharger, I'd look into it becuase i am a GM fan, but ehh interior could use some color

I kind of like it. I'm a fan of retro, thus my PT. It won't take long for lots of aftermarket grill choices to be available. It would make a good panel conversion. It seems to have just the right amount of chrome. Make me one painted Tan on the hood, top, doors, hatch, etc. with Chocolate color on the bumpers, the quasi running boards and the fenders for a real classic look. Maybe some old style wheels with matching Tan spokes/centers, too.
The package area behind the seats is bigger than the PT but needs to be carpeted for sure. I see it has a package shelf a`la Cruiser. Good center console with lots of switches. I like lots of switches. Not a lot going on at the main gauge bezel, more gauges needed. I don't want a dash the size of a wrist watch.

I don't like it, but it's better than first shots I saw.
Front looks like a Dodge pickup, the side is station wagon/SUV, and the rear looks like a Mazda....[:I]

Tone down the grill and I'll test drive it.

I think it's interesting that there is no fan sites or anything for it yet. No one on the web showing up and comming parts for it.

The stuff I've seen on other boards have been very mixed on if they like it or not.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out once it's actually out.

Has anyone seen any solid Prices for it yet? and how much bigger is the storage area?

-Joe

THe car is built on the cobalt frame. And there is a large aftermarket in place already for that. So I have little doubt that their will be mods aplenty available and GM mentioned as much in their press release with the West Coast customs piece at trucks.com. I like this project and with over a 400 mile per tank range "16.2 gallon tank" I like it even more. Looks nice, good mileage a engine that is being used on the drag strip all I need to do is drive it and I am sold.
