Default Now that's got to hurt!

LITTLETON, Colorado (AP) -- A dentist found the source of the toothache Patrick Lawler was complaining about on the roof of his mouth -- a four-inch (10-centimeter) nail the construction worker had unknowingly embedded in his skull six days earlier.

A nail gun backfired on Lawler, 23, on January 6 while working in Breckenridge, a ski resort town in the central Colorado mountains. The tool sent a nail into a piece of wood nearby, but Lawler didn't realize a second nail had shot through his mouth, said his sister, Lisa Metcalse.

I don't understand how it didn't bleed like hell, since there are a lot of blood vessels in the mouth.

Maybe it did hurt and it just took that long to get a Denitest appointment. [NA]
I ran over a 16 penny nail once, and the tire didn't lose any air till I pulled it out 70 miles later. I think it's the same principle High pressure, with a seal. Just goes to show you, always close your mouth when useing a nail gun.[:I] At any rate that guy for a lack of a better word is lucky to be alive.

How are they going to get a hammer in his mouth to pull it out? [:I]

Now that's a good Idea Crewzin. I read it cost him $100,000.00 to have the operation, he had no insurance. You could have save him some money.[8D]
