Doctor scares the hell out of me

I went to a new Dr. This week and he wanted to do a general blood test just so he knows a little more.

I did the test.

Got mail that the test was "abnormal" and to come in and talk to the doc. :0

So I go and see him and he tells me that I have a high white blood cell count. I know what that means(I got an A+ in health class ) I have an infection right. But I told him I didnt remember feeling sick that day.

So he says "Well, That can be one of the first signs of Leukemia."

I said "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"

He said "It can also be many other things. Its probably not that."

I said. "Well, you scared the hell out of me with that."


So, Another blood test in a few days and go from there.



I think its just a sinus infection because I have been hurting for a long time with that.....so....

Rest easy, it's usually something simple and no big deal. I'd bet money on it.

I'm sure that your doctor didn't realize how alarmingly he worded his comments to you. [B)]

Doc's and hospitals are good for urgent care! Remeber your, your own best doc. The other guys want to cut, burn, or poision for a cure. Makes you want to take nutruition seriously. Hope tests come out better for you. [|)]
