India is a country of contrasts. The major cities most likely have modern infrastructure with flush toilets and everything. But out in the countryside, it can be like going back in time 250 years.
A couple of inoculations and a extra dose of common sense should be all that's needed. Worry won't help but it won't hurt, either. You're "not in Kansas anymore, Toto". |

Gonz,
Your son should be fine. My oldest son (18) spent a month in India last summer with a missions group. Spent time in a couple of the cities as well as up in the mountains. No problems. Seeing how some live there should give your son a whole new appreciation of how good it is here! Tom
