hi. we have an '06 ptc that has a stuck CD in the radio and a potential transmission problem, both of which need to be investigated. there's a chrysler dealer nearby, but we cannot find anything good or bad about them online. we're extremely wary about taking cars into dealers but it is still under warranty. any advice?

I bought my 2007 Touring at STAR on Jamaica Ave in Queens Village. Thought they were really OK with me, haven't needed dealer service however.

thanks for the advice.
we called the dealer today and they said they would not charge for diagnosis as long as we had the work done there. if not, we'd have to pay $150 to take it somewhere else. this is riverdale chrysler. sounds pretty wrong to me, especially if the work done is warranty work (the questionable transmission problem, not the stuck CD).this is exactly what we expected and what we're trying to avoid... |

I assume the word you meant is WARY rather than tired?? Any dealer should be able to take care of your transmission. Have them check it out and repair if necessary. Did you get the PT from them? Do you have a relationship with them? You should be able to take the stuck CD to any place that installs radios and talk to them, to get a price. I have a good relationship with my Dealer, I can have them do almost anything because I bought the PT there. I thought I had a problem with my transmission as it went into gear with a "clunk", all it needed was a computer flash, problem solved. Good luck!!

yes yes, wary. thanks for pointing that out. now corrected in the original post.
anywho, we have no relationship with any local dealers whatsoever as the car was purchased in Fl. actually though, the dealer there wasn't helpful and also wanted a fee just to look at it. it's very frustrating... guess we'll try some other dealers around. cheers, -c |
