Hi y'all,
I'm a PT newbie, bought a loaded '02 Dream. Opened the hood to check the battery. In shock! Do you have to remove all that plastic housing just to clean up the battery? I managed a peek at the positive terminal.Looks like a mess. I want to clean it up & rescue the connector. What's the quickest easiest way to access the battery to do this simple chore? I want to remove as little as possible. Thanx, Hud[xx(] i'm a PT |

Welcome, Hud.
Crewzin posted instuctions, but I don't feel like searching.... Unscrew the air hose clamp & pull off the intake hose. You should be able to pull up on the whole intake - it's held in place by posts that go into rubber grommets. Use and old toothbrus on the terminals, and I suggest getting those felt washers to the battery posts - auto stores should have them. Some like a coating of vaseline on the outside.
