In '03 the turbo came out, only 1 model - GT - 215 HP.
In '04 they added a low-pressure turbo ( the CPU programming does it) that put out 180 HP and ran on regular. The GT stayed at 215 HP. The "turbo lite" just said "turbo" on the back and they added "high output" to the GT to distinguish... The GT has since gained a few ponies over the years (before they dropped it) and the turbo lite remains at 180. And the turbo lite only comes in auto...

Hey thanks for the info, QSD. So Im sitting on 215 horses guess thats why i couldnt really tell much difference between mine and the HO version. Now, do you know if these are intercooled? And you set up the other question I forgot to ask, whats the recommended fuel for mine? I know 87 wont cut it, but how bout 89, or am I buying premium?
I said this in the other thread, but I know Jeeps pretty thoroughly. When it comes to 'regular' cars, especially fwd turbo cars Im a total noob. I do appreciate the info.

All turbo PTs are intercooled.
If you have a GT, it's 215HP or better, needs premium, and is "high output", whether it says it or not....
