This brings to mind my old Z4. Bought it when they were new on the market, got one of the first ones.

1000 miles later, my girlfriend drove it off a cliff.

The car went down 150 feet, rolled over 3 times with the top down and landed on a tree.

She walked away with 2 scratches, it made page 10 of BMW magazine, first Z4 ever totalled out in the real world. She survived, so I married her.

(She was not at fault BTW)

I see a purple Vert in your gallery so I take it the red one in the picture isn't you. So what's the story? Did you know the owner of the red one?

Used to have an old '69 Beetle: rolled that puppy completely over, the whole roof was one big dent; no seat belt (I was young & stupid back then....), not a scratch on me. Drove it almost a mile to my mechanic (I SAID I was young & stupid!), who looked it over, shook his head, and asked "didn't driving it feel a little funny, what with the broken front axel and all?"

Sometimes you just get lucky.
