There's got to be something out there on the internet. There are people with handicaps/medical disablites that need such items. Check maybe medical sites for the handicap. Might find something, who knows?

Educate me: during up or downshifts and letting off the gas, I should hear the BOV, right? Or only at certain RPMs? Sure as hell looks like its installed properly to me, I mean come on, a DCX mechanic should know it can only install just one way.

It is not the RPMs that effect the BOV it is the pressure behind it. They open when the pressure spikes and then release the pressure rather than backing up the turbo. If you are tooling along at 35MPH and let out of it, it probably will not open as the turbo is not boosting. But if you get out if it after a full throtle pass, the turbo is under full boost and will spike the pressure and pop open the BOV. They work much like a waste gate but you cant adjust the pressure it opens at.

I would never run a convertable through a car wash, touchless or not, just think you'd be asking for trouble eventualy

"It sez in the Owners manual to avoid car washes!"

Hmmm, that old adage "When all else fails, read the instructions" spring to mind. Thanks folks. I think I'm still gonna try out that stuff from Raggtop, though.

I'd have to agree. You're asking for trouble if you take your convertible to any car wash.. touchless or not. You can't control the car wash machine... If something happens, no matter how remote the chance, you're screwed. Even if the car wash tries to make it right, you're still stuck w/ the hassles.

Take pride in your new baby. Wash it by hand.
I bought my PT Conv on June 2nd & have washed it at least 30 times already.
I may be a little nuts about this, but I just get the bird crap before it has time to sink in. If that means hosing the car off before I leave the house, so be it.
If you're out, get a bottle of water from 7/11 and pour it on & wipe it w/ your hand... yes, gross, but you can wash your hands afterward.. at least your investment doesn't have bird crap burning into the top or the paint.

I've only scrubbed the top once so far. Used a non-scratch car washing brush and regular car wash soap (no wax in the soap).
Rinsed immediately & used my water blade to push off excess water, then let it dry in the sunlight while I was detailing. Turned out faboo!

I should clairify. My base model does have seats that fold forward, they just don't completely "tumble" flat like other models. So there is no flat surface for the dog to lie on.
Just pop the seat locks inside the trunk, pull the seats forward, tuck a blanket in behind them & slam the seats back up. This should lock the blanket into place so 60lb doggie can't pull them loose.

Very True. So far, what he's done has been complimentary to his cruiser. Some might not like what we've added, but that's the beauty of the PT and as the saying goes...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
