I've noticed that when it is wet or raining I cannot open or even crack my windows without water dripping in. It is annoying because I don't like being closed up and will keep a window cracked even if it is freezing out. On a convertible you can't put those guard things on! As for the doors, don't really notice anything. They don't stay open very long when it is raining! When I bought the convertible I was concerning about leaking but we've had some nasty storms and it hasn't leaked yet - unless I crack the window.

It appears to have rolled and the rollbar did the trick. 1900 miles, too bad.
Yea, it did seem to hold up pretty darn well. I thought it really wasn't a "roll bar", but it's good to know!
The reason D-C cannot call it a 'Roll Bar' (nobody calls them Roll Bars anymore) is because it is not a 100% sure thing. IE: If some twit manages to roll thier car (or truck) and get hurt they are going to sue because the 'roll bar' didn't protect them.

All the 'show bar' can do is give some protection, but if you ain't seatbelted in, or you just plain run out of luck, then I hope your insurance and prayers are up-to-date.

Now this is not to be confused with a full-on Roll Cage, like the racers and hard-core off-roaders use. And even those are not 100% effective if you run out of luck...

Is the wiper cowl smoked plastic, or opaque and body color (black)?

Smoke plastic from Moss Motors. Paintable but macthes with a black vehicle. Next up to complete the hood is the chrome center strip that is still under design since last February. I spoke with them two weeks ago and they are hoping to release them soon.

The rated HP on ALL GT enignes went up due to the replacement of the aluminum intake manifold for the NEW plastic turbo intake manifold and a few changes to the way they calculate HP ratings now(change just took affect for all 06 car and trucks). If your GT Cruiser came stock with the plastic intake manifold, then you got a 230HP rated GT engine. If you have the metal intake, it would be rated at 220. My GT vert', pre Stage 1, with a metal intake dynoed at exactly 200 WHP (that's at the wheels) before I did a bunch of mods, but the car was not fully stock either. Most metal intake GT's dyno fully stock at about 175-180WHP.
